Angie served as Island County Commissioner during the recession, cut expenses by 20%, implemented video recorded Board of County Commissioner meetings to the public for the first time in county history and donated 40k of her income to support local 4H groups, animal shelters, seniors and parks.
She started her career as a carpenter and machinist, earned a degree in architecture, served as Island County Commissioner, got her Masters in Environmental Law and Policy and is now working to represent the people of the 10th LD in Washington State Senate.
Angie believes we should balance our built and natural environments and thoughtfully plan for today and tomorrow’s generations.
Angie is running against a 14-year incumbent, Barbara Bailey, who is supported by corporations such as big pharmaceutical companies, oil and gas industries, payday lenders and big tobacco. Angie thinks we should have people represent people, not the top 1%.
